Irvine is our home base. Our office on Goddard sits in the Irvine Spectrum area, so surveys, installations and support visits for Irvine offices are a short drive, not a scheduled trip. We design, install and support conference rooms, phone systems, networks, cabling and cameras here, and our AI advisory work starts in the same building.

01 Telxpress in Irvine

What does Telxpress do for businesses in Irvine?

Telxpress designs, installs and supports business technology for companies in Irvine, California: conference room audio visual, phone systems, business internet, networking, structured cabling and surveillance, plus AI advisory and AI voice agents. Every site visit starts from our own office at 230 Goddard in Irvine, with our own technicians and a support line answered 24/7.

Nothing on this page is a promise about your project. Every installation starts with a survey of your space, and how we work is the same in every city: advise first, build what we recommend, and support it afterwards. The service area page covers Orange County, Los Angeles County and San Diego County as a whole.

02 At a glance

Irvine at a glance

Irvine's estimated population was 317,744 on January 1, 2026 (provisional), according to the California Department of Finance E-1 estimates released May 2026. That makes it the second most populous city in Orange County on the same table. Irvine sits in the center of the county, bordered by Tustin and Santa Ana to the north and west, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach toward the coast, and Lake Forest and Laguna Hills to the south and east. It is a planned city, developed by the Irvine Company from the 1960s and incorporated in 1971, laid out as villages separated by wide arterial roads. The city center is about 5 miles from our office as the crow flies, and the office itself is inside the city limits.

Business life concentrates in two districts. The Irvine Business Complex, on the west side next to John Wayne Airport, is dense with multi-tenant office towers and professional firms. Irvine Spectrum, on the east side where the 5 and the 405 meet, holds corporate campuses, technology companies and the business parks around our office. The University of California, Irvine anchors the south of the city, and the larger employers include Edwards Lifesciences, Blizzard Entertainment, Western Digital, Capital Group and Thales, alongside hospitals such as Hoag Hospital Irvine, Kaiser Permanente Irvine and UCI Health.

Between the districts are the Orange County Great Park on the former El Toro Marine air station, William R. Mason Regional Park, the Jeffrey Open Space Trail and the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary. For a site visit the layout matters: most Irvine offices sit in planned business parks with property managers who know their telecom rooms and riser paths, which makes surveys and after-hours installation windows straightforward to arrange.

Sources: population from the California Department of Finance E-1 Population Estimates for Cities, Counties and the State, January 1, 2025 and 2026 (dof.ca.gov, table released May 2026); the city center on the map is the coordinate of the Wikipedia article, and the distance is computed from it to our office at 230 Goddard, Irvine, CA 92618-4625 with the haversine formula (straight line, not driving distance). Districts, parks and employers are named from the city's official website and the same article, as of October 2026.

03 What we install

What do we install in Irvine?

The six business technology services below are designed, installed and supported from our Irvine office. Each line describes the kind of Irvine buildings and businesses we see most, not a statistic; every project still starts with a survey of your space.

  • 01

    Audio Visual

Conference rooms and training rooms for the technology and professional firms of the Irvine Business Complex and Irvine Spectrum, with displays, cameras and microphones sized for the room and video conferencing that staff can start without a technician.

  • 02

    Connectivity

Business internet, fiber and SD-WAN for Irvine offices, including carrier coordination for suites in multi-tenant towers near John Wayne Airport, where the building riser and its provider list set what is possible.

  • 03

    Phone Systems

Cloud phone systems and VoIP for Irvine headquarters that also serve branch offices across Southern California, with call routing for reception desks, sales teams and after-hours lines.

  • 04

    Networking

Switching, firewalls and Wi-Fi for Irvine offices that run on laptops and video calls all day, plus managed networks for companies without a full-time IT team.

  • 05

    Cabling

Structured cabling for tenant improvements and moves in Irvine Spectrum and the Business Complex, coordinated with the general contractor and the building rules for low-voltage work.

  • 06

    Surveillance

IP cameras and access control for Irvine business parks, labs and medical offices, covering lobbies, parking structures and loading areas with recording kept on your own network.

Not sure which of these you need? Send us the address and what the business does and we will tell you what a survey would look at.

04 AI advisory

AI advisory for Irvine businesses

Irvine companies are often already using AI somewhere: a sales team testing an assistant, an operations lead automating reports, a clinic trying an answering service. Our AI advisory work starts with a free readiness assessment, then a roadmap that ties each use case to revenue or cost, and because the office is in the same city, the first conversation can happen at your desk or ours.

Start with the free AI readiness assessment, or read how our AI advisory engagement works.

05 How a site visit works

How does a site visit work?

Five steps, the same for a conference room, a phone system or a whole office move in Irvine. The survey is free with the consultation; the quote covers the rest.

  1. Survey

We walk the space with you, your contractor or your building manager: rooms, cabling paths, the telecom room, and the phone and network equipment already in place.

  2. Design and quote

You receive a written design and a quote for the whole project, with options where a choice matters, and a schedule agreed with building management.

  3. Install

Our own technicians do the work, on your schedule and within the building rules, including after-hours windows when the business cannot stop.

  4. Documentation

You get as-built drawings, test results, labels that match the drawings, and the logins and settings for everything we configured.

  5. Support

The same team answers the 24/7 support line afterwards, and remote support settles most questions without a return visit.

07 Questions

Questions about working with us in Irvine

Do you charge for site visits in Irvine?

The survey that starts a project in Irvine is part of the free consultation, and installation visits are inside the written quote you approve before work begins, so there is no separate travel line. For support visits after an installation, your service agreement or quote states what is included; remote support settles many questions without a visit.

Which permits does low-voltage work need in Irvine?

Permit requirements depend on the scope and are set by the City of Irvine's building department. Low-voltage cabling and cameras inside an existing suite are treated differently from work that penetrates fire-rated walls, adds electrical circuits or forms part of a tenant improvement. We confirm what applies during the survey and include any permit in the quote.

Can you work in Irvine's multi-tenant office buildings?

Yes. Much of Irvine's office space is multi-tenant, in the Business Complex towers and the Spectrum business parks, and we coordinate directly with building management for telecom room and riser access, insurance certificates and after-hours work windows. Where a general contractor runs the build-out, we join the low-voltage walkthrough and follow their schedule.

Do you support existing systems from other vendors in Irvine?

Yes. Many Irvine offices come to us with a phone system, network or camera system installed by someone else. We start with an assessment of what is in place, keep what still serves you, and replace only what the plan calls for. Our partners include Yealink, Nextiva, Avaya, Yeastar, Polycom, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki and Hikvision.

How far is Irvine from your office?

We are in Irvine. The office at 230 Goddard is in the Spectrum area near the 5 and the 405, about 5 miles from the city center as the crow flies, so Irvine site visits are local trips. Support calls are answered 24/7 and remote support covers many questions without a visit.
