Business Internet and Connectivity Solutions in Irvine
Business internet, fiber, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi and carrier services, selected, quoted and managed by one local partner, with the redundancy AI workloads need.
- Carrier quotes side by side
- Failover tested before go-live
- 24/7 support
Telxpress helps Orange County businesses choose, install and support their connectivity: business internet and fiber, SD-WAN, office Wi-Fi, and carrier services quoted through partners such as TPx, DISH and Nextiva. We assess what your voice, video and cloud applications need, design redundancy so an outage does not stop work, and support the whole connection from our Irvine office.
Connectivity is one of six business technology services we provide. The connection lands on a firewall and switches, so we design it together with your network and, for cloud voice, your phone system.
What we provide
What connectivity services do we provide?
We do not own a network. We help you choose the right carriers and technologies, then install and support everything on your side of the connection.
-
Business internet and fiber
We check which carriers and technologies reach your address, recommend the primary connection that fits your workload, and manage the order and installation.
-
SD-WAN
Software that runs two or more connections as one, steers voice and video onto the healthiest path and fails over without anyone noticing.
-
Office Wi-Fi
Site-surveyed wireless with Ubiquiti or Cisco Meraki access points, separate staff and guest networks, and coverage planned for the whole floor.
-
Carrier services and quoting
Internet, voice and data services quoted through partners including TPx and DISH, and Nextiva for cloud voice, presented side by side so you can compare.
-
Redundancy and failover
A second path on a different technology, automatic failover on the firewall or SD-WAN, battery backup for the rack, and a test so you know it works.
-
Monitoring and support
Connection health watched from our side, a 24/7 line and one team that opens the carrier ticket and sees it through.
Plain definitions
What are SD-WAN and fixed wireless?
SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) is software that treats two or more internet connections as a single managed link. It steers voice and video onto the healthiest path, fails over automatically when a circuit drops, and connects multiple offices securely over ordinary broadband instead of dedicated private circuits.
Fixed wireless is business internet delivered by a radio link between an antenna on your building and a nearby carrier site, instead of fiber or cable in the street. It installs quickly, is independent of the underground cabling, and is often used as a backup path or for buildings fiber has not reached.
Compare your options
Fiber, cable or fixed wireless: which business internet fits?
A qualitative comparison. Speeds, prices and lead times depend on your address, so we check those for you rather than print numbers that will not match your building.
| Option | Typical use | Symmetry | Resilience | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fiber | Primary connection for offices that depend on cloud applications, video meetings and cloud phones. | Usually symmetrical: upload matches download, which video and voice need. | Very reliable once installed; still pair it with a second path for outages in the street. | Longest. Depends on whether fiber already reaches the building. |
| Cable (coax) | Primary connection for smaller offices with lighter use; backup for larger ones. | Asymmetrical: upload is much lower than download. | Shares neighborhood capacity, so busy hours can slow it; mature and widely available. | Short where cable already serves the building. |
| Fixed wireless | Backup path, temporary sites, and buildings fiber cannot reach quickly. | Varies by provider and plan. | Independent of the underground cabling, so a good second path; weather and line of sight matter. | Often the fastest to install. |
Our usual recommendation for an office that depends on cloud tools: fiber as the primary path and a different technology as the backup, managed by SD-WAN or a firewall with failover.
Designed for AI
Why does AI make your connection matter more?
AI tools move the work onto the connection. Three workloads we design for.
-
AI voice agents
An AI voice agent such as Donya answers calls as voice over IP. It needs a stable connection with low latency and little jitter far more than raw speed, and a failover path so an outage does not become missed calls.
How Donya answers calls -
Video meetings with transcription
AI-enabled meeting rooms send video, audio and transcription traffic at the same time. Symmetrical upload and quality-of-service rules keep the picture steady and the transcript complete.
AI-ready meeting rooms -
Cloud CRM and workflow automation
When your CRM, phone system and automations all live in the cloud, the internet connection is the office. Redundancy turns a carrier outage from a lost day into a non-event.

Redundancy and failover
How do we design for redundancy and failover?
- Two paths, two technologies. A backup on the same cabling as the primary fails with it. We pair fiber or cable with fixed wireless or a different carrier's circuit.
- Automatic failover. A Fortinet or Cisco Meraki firewall, or SD-WAN, moves traffic to the backup without anyone unplugging cables.
- Voice and video first. Quality-of-service rules keep calls and meetings steady while downloads wait.
- Power. Battery backup for the rack so a short power cut does not drop the connection and the phones with it.
- A real test. We pull the primary circuit before go-live and watch the failover happen, then document what to expect.
How it works
How do we handle carrier quoting, ordering and support?
-
Assess
We review what your team actually does on the connection: calls, video, cloud applications, remote access and any AI tools planned.
-
Check the address
Through our carrier partners we find out which fiber, cable and wireless services reach your building and how long each takes to install.
-
Design and quote
Primary and backup paths, the firewall or SD-WAN that manages them, Wi-Fi coverage, and a quote with carrier options side by side.
-
Order and install
We manage the carrier order, meet the installer, configure the firewall or SD-WAN and test failover before anyone depends on it.
-
Support
A 24/7 line, monitoring, and one team that owns the carrier ticket when a circuit fails.
Questions buyers ask about business internet
Do we need fiber, or is cable internet enough?
It depends on what your team does all day. Offices that live in video meetings, cloud phone systems and hosted applications usually benefit from the symmetrical upload of fiber. Smaller offices with light use often run well on cable, especially with a wireless backup. We review your real usage before recommending, and we quote both when it is close.
Can you quote business internet in Irvine from more than one carrier?
Yes. Through partners such as TPx and DISH we can check which carriers serve your address, compare the options on cost, contract length and installation time, and present them side by side. You sign with the carrier that fits; we handle the order, coordinate the install and configure the firewall or SD-WAN when the circuit goes live.
What is SD-WAN and does a small business need it?
SD-WAN is software that manages two or more internet connections as one, steering voice and video onto the healthiest path and failing over automatically when a circuit drops. A single office with one connection rarely needs it. A business with a second connection, several locations or a cloud phone system usually does, because outages stop costing you calls.
Will our internet connection support an AI voice agent?
Usually, with the right priorities in place. An AI voice agent such as Donya handles calls as voice over IP, so it needs a stable connection with low latency and little jitter rather than raw speed. We check your current circuit, set quality-of-service rules on the firewall and recommend a second path when a dropped connection would mean missed calls.
Who do we call when the internet goes down?
Call us. Our support line is answered 24/7, and because we designed and documented the connection we know which carrier, circuit and firewall are involved. We open and manage the carrier ticket, switch traffic to the backup path if one exists, and keep you informed, so your team talks to one number instead of several providers.
