Costa Mesa mixes offices, showrooms, theaters and an industrial quarter, which is why one business here often needs cabling, Wi-Fi, cameras and a phone system at the same time. We design, install and support all of it from our Irvine office, and bring AI advisory to companies that want their calls and workflows to keep up with the sales floor.
01 Telxpress in Costa Mesa
What does Telxpress do for businesses in Costa Mesa?
Telxpress designs, installs and supports business technology for companies in Costa Mesa, California: structured cabling, Wi-Fi and networking, phone systems, business internet, conference room audio visual and surveillance cameras, plus AI advisory and AI voice agents. Site visits come from our own office in Irvine, about 10 miles away as the crow flies, with our own technicians and 24/7 support.
Nothing on this page is a promise about your project. Every installation starts with a survey of your space, and how we work is the same in every city: advise first, build what we recommend, and support it afterwards. The service area page covers Orange County, Los Angeles County and San Diego County as a whole.
02 At a glance
Costa Mesa at a glance
Costa Mesa's estimated population was 109,436 on January 1, 2026 (provisional), according to the California Department of Finance E-1 estimates released May 2026. The city sits in central Orange County between Santa Ana to the north, Irvine to the east, Newport Beach to the south and Huntington Beach to the west, with its southern edge close to the Pacific. Incorporated in 1953, it grew from a farming community into part of the South Coast Plaza and John Wayne Airport edge city, one of the region's largest commercial clusters, and its center is about 10 miles from our Irvine office as the crow flies.
South Coast Plaza and the South Coast Metro district around it, shared with southern Santa Ana, hold the office towers, hotels, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Repertory. Experian's North American headquarters and Anduril Industries are based in the city, and the southwestern quarter is an industrial area of electronics, pharmaceutical and plastics firms. Orange Coast College and Vanguard University add campuses, and the OC Fair and Event Center with the Pacific Amphitheatre sits in the middle of it all.
Costa Mesa is where the 55 and the 73 freeways end and the 405 passes through, so most addresses are a short drive from the rest of central Orange County. For our technicians the typical Costa Mesa job combines an office with operations: a showroom with a warehouse behind it, a studio with a shipping dock, a clinic next to a manufacturer. Those buildings need cable runs across open ceilings, Wi-Fi that reaches the racking, and cameras on docks as well as doors.
Sources: population from the California Department of Finance E-1 Population Estimates for Cities, Counties and the State, January 1, 2025 and 2026 (dof.ca.gov, table released May 2026); the city center on the map is the coordinate of the Wikipedia article, and the distance is computed from it to our office at 230 Goddard, Irvine, CA 92618-4625 with the haversine formula (straight line, not driving distance). Districts, parks and employers are named from the city's official website and the same article, as of October 2026.
03 What we install
What do we install in Costa Mesa?
The six business technology services below are designed, installed and supported from our Irvine office. Each line describes the kind of Costa Mesa buildings and businesses we see most, not a statistic; every project still starts with a survey of your space.
- 01
Audio Visual
Conference rooms for the corporate offices around South Coast Metro, training rooms for the colleges and churches that make Costa Mesa a meeting place, and digital signage for showrooms and retail.
- 02
Connectivity
Business internet and fiber for South Coast Metro offices and the industrial southwest, including the carrier coordination a move into a warehouse-and-office building needs before the phones can ring.
- 03
Phone Systems
Phone systems for Costa Mesa companies that answer calls in a front office and a warehouse at the same time, with ring groups, paging and mobile apps so the call reaches whoever is on shift.
- 04
Networking
Wi-Fi and switching that cover open warehouse floors and showrooms as well as desks, with firewalls sized for a business that sells, ships and takes payments from the same building.
- 05
Cabling
Structured cabling for industrial and flex buildings in the southwestern quarter, where runs cross high open ceilings, and for tenant improvements in the office towers around South Coast Plaza.
- 06
Surveillance
IP cameras and access control for warehouses, showrooms and loading docks, with coverage planned around what actually moves in and out of the building rather than a camera count.
Not sure which of these you need? Send us the address and what the business does and we will tell you what a survey would look at.
04 AI advisory
AI advisory for Costa Mesa businesses
Costa Mesa companies often run a sales floor, an operation and a back office under one roof, and the AI questions follow: missed calls, order status inquiries, scheduling, and the hours spent re-typing information between systems. Our advisory work starts with a free readiness assessment, then a roadmap that ranks the use cases by what they return.

05 How a site visit works
How does a site visit work?
Five steps, the same for a conference room, a phone system or a whole office move in Costa Mesa. The survey is free with the consultation; the quote covers the rest.
-
Survey
We walk the space with you, your contractor or your building manager: rooms, cabling paths, the telecom room, and the phone and network equipment already in place.
-
Design and quote
You receive a written design and a quote for the whole project, with options where a choice matters, and a schedule agreed with building management.
-
Install
Our own technicians do the work, on your schedule and within the building rules, including after-hours windows when the business cannot stop.
-
Documentation
You get as-built drawings, test results, labels that match the drawings, and the logins and settings for everything we configured.
-
Support
The same team answers the 24/7 support line afterwards, and remote support settles most questions without a return visit.

07 Questions
Questions about working with us in Costa Mesa
Do you charge for site visits in Costa Mesa?
No separate travel charge applies. The survey that starts a Costa Mesa project is part of the free consultation, and installation visits are inside the written quote you approve before work begins. For support visits after an installation, your service agreement or quote states what is included, and remote support settles many questions without a visit at all.
Which permits does low-voltage work need in Costa Mesa?
Permit requirements are set by the City of Costa Mesa's building department and depend on the scope. Cabling, cameras and AV inside an existing suite are treated differently from work that penetrates fire-rated walls, adds electrical circuits or forms part of a tenant improvement. We confirm what applies during the survey and include any permit in the quote.
Can you work in multi-tenant buildings in Costa Mesa?
Yes. The towers around South Coast Metro, the flex buildings in the industrial quarter and the retail centers are mostly multi-tenant, and we coordinate with building management for telecom room and riser access, insurance certificates and after-hours work windows. When a general contractor runs the build-out, we join the low-voltage walkthrough and work to their schedule.
Do you support existing systems from other vendors in Costa Mesa?
Yes. Businesses here often arrive with a phone system from one vendor, a network from another and cameras from a third. We assess what is in place, keep what still serves you and replace only what the plan calls for, then support all of it through one 24/7 line. Partners include Yealink, Nextiva, Avaya, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki and Hikvision.
How far is Costa Mesa from your office?
Costa Mesa's center is about 10 miles from our office at 230 Goddard in Irvine as the crow flies. By road the 405 links the Spectrum area to South Coast Metro and the rest of the city directly. Site surveys and installations are scheduled visits, support calls are answered 24/7, and remote support covers many questions without a trip.
