Video conferencing room

A room system runs the meeting platform on a dedicated appliance or video bar, with a touch controller on the table, so nobody plugs in a laptop or hunts for a link. Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms are the platforms most often requested; both are sold through certified hardware from several manufacturers. Microphones, camera placement and acoustics decide whether remote people can actually follow the discussion.

For a growing business meeting rooms are where remote staff, clients and candidates form their impression of you. AI features such as live transcription, meeting summaries and speaker identification depend on good audio capture, so the room is also an AI readiness item. Standardizing on one platform and a few room sizes keeps training and support simple.

Ask an integrator which platform matches the licenses you already own, how the room joins meetings from other platforms, how many microphones a room of that size needs, where the camera should sit relative to the display, how the system is updated and monitored, and what the support arrangement is when a meeting fails to start. Ask to sit in a finished room before you buy.
